Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
1. Scope and responsibility
This Privacy Policy explains how Tico Baby Tracker (“Tico”, “we”, “us”) handles information in the Tico app and website. Tico is designed for parents, guardians, and adult caregivers. The account holder is responsible for making sure they are authorized to enter information about a child or another caregiver.
2. Information we handle
Depending on how you use Tico, we may handle account information such as your name and email; child profile information such as name, birth date, gender, and avatar; care records such as feeding, sleep, diapers, baths, tummy time, routines, and feedback; caregiver and invitation information; notification preferences and push-token data; device, installation, synchronization, and security identifiers; support messages; and subscription information.
Tico does not receive your full payment-card number from Apple or Google. We may receive product IDs, transaction identifiers, purchase tokens, renewal or expiry information, provider, and entitlement status so we can activate, restore, and support a subscription.
3. Why we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; provide sync, family sharing, care logs, reminders, predictions, and support; restore and manage store entitlements; send service and account messages; prevent abuse and protect the service; comply with legal obligations; and respond to requests from the account holder.
Where applicable, processing is based on providing the service, complying with legal obligations, the user’s consent for optional features, or a legitimate interest that is balanced against the user’s rights. You can withdraw consent for optional processing without affecting processing that is necessary to provide the service or comply with the law.
4. Notifications and photos
Notifications are optional and can be controlled in the app and in device settings. If you enable them, we use the information needed to deliver care reminders and service messages. Photos are selected by you and used to show the profile image you choose; Tico does not need access to your entire photo library to provide care tracking.
5. Sharing and providers
We do not sell personal information and do not use family-care data for behavioral advertising. We may disclose information to providers that help us host and secure the service, send email, deliver push notifications, operate authentication, or process store billing and entitlement data. Those providers may process information only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the service.
Apple, Google, authentication providers, hosting providers, email providers, and push-notification providers may process information in countries outside Brazil. We use reasonable contractual, organizational, and technical measures appropriate to the service and applicable law.
6. Security
We use measures designed to reduce risk, including encrypted storage for core account and child fields, authenticated requests, ownership checks, access controls, rate limits, and secure transport. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your device, account access, and invitation links, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep information while it is needed to provide the service, maintain account history, resolve support issues, meet legal or accounting obligations, prevent abuse, or establish and defend legal claims. You can delete your account and associated app data from Settings. If you cannot access the app, request deletion by email. Some limited transaction, security, backup, or legal records may be retained for the period required for those purposes and then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law and its exceptions, you may request confirmation and access, correction, information about sharing, deletion, portability where applicable, and review of certain processing decisions. Send requests to hello@ticobabytracker.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority to protect the account holder, caregivers, and children. You may also contact the Brazilian data-protection authority (ANPD) if you believe your rights were not addressed after contacting us.
9. Children’s information
Tico is operated for adults and is not directed to children. Child information is entered and controlled by an adult account holder or an authorized caregiver. We expect account holders to consider the child’s best interests, use only the minimum information needed, and avoid entering information they are not authorized to share.
10. Website storage
The website may use essential browser storage or cookies for basic operation, security, preferences, and authenticated administration. We do not use family-care data for behavioral advertising. If we add optional analytics, marketing, or newsletter tools, we will describe their purpose and provide the choices required by applicable law.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date above identifies the current version. For privacy questions, rights requests, support, or deletion, contact hello@ticobabytracker.com.
